Pop royalty Olivia Rodrigo is back with her much-anticipated and long-awaited third album.

Ditching one-word titles as with her first two releases, Rodrigo opts for a lengthy name which accurately embodies the vibe of the album musically and lyrically.
The tracklist sees primarily a mix of synth, piano and acoustic guitar. Some of the synth songs include lead single drop dead, which adopts a fairytale feel, and expectations, which goes hard with its upbeat 80s-style synth. There’s a much higher proportion of slow songs this time; these include honeybee, the cure, less and closing track cigarette smoke. While these can be regarded as beautiful and raw, they can also be a bit boring and quite depressing at times. Unfortunately, there are hardly any rock songs, of which there is usually a handful, but there is one: my way. Rodrigo unleashes her inner punk here with vocals reminiscent of Avril Lavigne and Paramore, which work alongside an epic guitar riff to make for the highlight track. Furthermore, her duet with Robert Smith of The Cure is an unusual combo but one that works surprisingly well as Smith’s vocals are complimented by Rodrigo’s, making what’s wrong with me an enjoyable offering.
Despite the rise in slow songs and lack of rock songs in comparison to the other records, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love is a further example of the unmatched talent of this still young superstar.
