Marilyn Manson- One Assassination Under God Chapter 2 (review)
Published by Mason Oldridge, 21 August 2026
Controversial rocker Marilyn Manson and his eponymous band return to deliver the second chapter of the One Assassination Under God series.

Always guaranteed with Manson is his goth aesthetics, unique industrial sound and screamo vocals, albeit small variation between tracks… and this release is no different.
Thematically, sonically and in the artwork, the record bears similarity to the previous chapter, with themes of death, religion and vulgarity forming its lyrical makeup too.
The singles don’t quite match up to those from the first chapter, with Front Toward Enemy, having previously appeared as a B-side, being the standout, though these are both undeniably good songs.
Experimentation would likely conceive a positive result from Manson, ideally a venture into electronic music as there are slight tinges that tease without execution.
Despite its predictability, you know what you’re getting with Manson and that is strong quality heavy rock music.
